Despite the omnipresence of magic and baby dragons, the world of Game of Thrones, based on the bestselling book series A Song of Ice and Fire by George R. R. Martin, is not a happy one - incest, beheadings, rivalry and evil abound, and, much of the time, it seems as though poor Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) is at the center of the storm.
My first day on set was so intense. It was a scary day. It’s something I’ve wanted since I was a tiny little girl, and I finally got on set and I was surrounded by brilliant actors like Sean Bean. It was really daunting, but it was the most fun I’ve ever had.
I’d love for something good to happen to Sansa. You can only have so many downfalls, and Sansa’s had a lot. My ideal scenario is that Sanas gets married to a wonderful man, and they have lots of babies, and they have a lovely life, happily ever after. Bit in the world of Game of Thrones, that doesn’t seem very likely [laughs].
Sansa and I are both really good at lying. I was always able to manipulate my way around my brothers. That’s where my practice came from.
Today, a fan came up to me and asked, “Are you from Game of Thrones?”I kind of expected a “Can I have a picture?” thing but he invited me and my friend to go shopping. We helped him pick out his sister’s birthday present.
I can do a mean Shakira impression. That’s a party trick. It tends to get annoying after a while, because I do it so often.
Queen you shall be … until there comes another, younger and more beautiful, to cast you down and take all that you hold dear.
